ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) has given 10 days time to minister for privatization Daniyal Aziz for engaging lawyer in connection with suo motu notice of contempt of court.
A 3-member bench of SC presided over by Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed took up for hearing contempt of court suo motu notice against Daniyal Aziz Wednesday.
Daniyal Aziz appeared in the court and told that in the notice issued by the court it has not been mentioned therein for what reason notice has been served.
Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed remarked “ you will come to know every thing. Nothing is inappropriate.
Justice Azmat Saeed inquired “ you would need time for hiring counsel.
Daniyal Aziz replied “ as you deem proper.
The court gave him 10 days time for appointing his lawyer . The court also issued notice to Attorney General.
The court while issuing notice to attorney general adjourned the hearing of the case till February 19.
