Islamabad: The Ministry of Finance and Revenue has finalised a plan to construct the building of Federal Audit Complex in the federal capital with a cost of Rs. 656.756 million and the construction of this project will be completed within two years.
According to Ministry of Finance and Revenue sources, the main aim of the construction of the Federal Audit Complex, is to provide a comprehensive and one building to the three field audit offices to one place.
Presently three field audit offices including DG Audit Federal Government, Islamabad, Director Zakat Audit and DG Audit Works, Federal Islamabad are accommodated in the hired or rented building in different parts of the federal government.
Under the plan, the main objective of Audit Complex Islamabad is to accommodate these three audit offices in the one building and save public exchequer.
According to details, the project of construction of Federal Audit Complex in the federal capital at a cost of Rs. 656.756 million and during the year 2017-18 a sum of Rs. 100 million has been allocated while the remained cost of the project will be included in the budget for the year 2018-19.
