FAISALABAD. Collector Customs Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah along with Mushtaq Ali Cheema Chairman Faisalabad Dry Port Trust today inaugurated 28th dispensary of Customs Health Care Society (CHCS) in Faisalabad Model Collectorate here today.
The dispensary will provide free diagnostic and curative treatment to the employees of customs department and their families in addition to offering necessary relief and succor to the needy and deprived segments of the society.
In his brief address, Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah said that CHCS has been working for the welfare of the deserving destitute for the last two decades.
He told that society has been helping humanity in distress particularly during times of natural calamity like earthquakes, accidents, floods and IDPs etc.
He told that the CHCS has also been collaborating with other community organizations to conduct training programs for community health workers in order to increase their efficiency and productivity.
Collector Customs said that he has been striving hard to create awareness among the general public for the improvement of their health through education. “Society is also doling out financial help the deserving and talented students”, he added.
Similarly, medical facilities are also being provided to poor families and widows who cannot afford treatment on their own.
Regarding newly inaugurated dispensary, Dr Asif Jah told that he himself would examine the patients in addition to discharging his ownprofessional and official obligations as Collector Custom Faisalabad.
Chairman Faisalabad Dry Port Trust appreciated the services of Dr. Asif Mahmood Jah and assured full support for the mitigation of the sufferings of the poor segments of the society.
Mr. Shafqat Mahmood former collector, Mian Muhammad Latif, Sheikh Muhammad Ashfaq, Chaudhary Iqbal Akber, and Muzammal Sultan were also present during this inaugural function.
