Muzaffarabad : At least three people were killed and two others were wounded when a passenger van fell into a ravine on Rathra road in Muzaffarabad area on Saturday.
Witnesses said the driver of the vehicle lost control on a turn as a result of which the van skidded off the road and plunged into a ravine.
The local people reached the site of accident and began shifting the casualties to CMH Muzaffarabad hospital for treatment as Rescue and emergency teams including police could not reach the spot.
At least three persons died on the spot, according to the locals.
Sources said that the condition of two wounded was critical.
Road accidents are common in Pakistan, which are often fatal, and frequently blamed on reckless driving, bad roads and poorly maintained vehicles.
