Islamabad: While following the directions of the apex court the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has tighten grip against illegal wedding halls, marquees and markets.

The credible sources have claimed that currently 70 wedding halls and markets of Federal Capital were not following the CDA rules and regulations and they badly violated the rules.

Sources said that authority was issuing three months deadline notices to the owners of these wedding halls and markets.
The authority will launch operation against wedding halls that violated the rules soon after competition of given deadline, sources added. They said that country top political personalities owned most of these wedding halls and markets. Moreover the civic agency was also planning to crack down on illegal wedding halls and marquees on Margalla Road. According to a document, there are around 11 wedding halls and marquees along Margalla Road.
Last week, the CDA sealed 17 under-construction high-rise buildings in Sector E-11 near Golra which were being built without due approval from the civic body.
