Khushab: The Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan while hailing the sacrifices rendered by Mungla Dam affectees has said that the PML-N government would utilize all available resources to address their problems on priority basis.
Addressing a gathering of Mungala Dam affectess and Kashmiri migrant community at Khushab Jouharabad area in Punjab here on Sunday the AJK PM said that Mungla Dam affectees currently living in Punjab have been included in the migrant community list saying that after an amendment the dam affectees would be soon entitled to 25% quota system which has been allocated for Kashmiri migrants based in different cities and towns of Pakistan. Khan said that many cases regarding the ownership rights of migrants have been settled and to sort out the remaining cases a delegation comprising of senior member board of revenue would be dispatched to Lahore to do the needful. “There are 649 cases pending regarding ownership of land which will soon be addressed and Senior Member Board of Revenue will visit Lahore to resolve these cases before long.” Prime Minister said adding that the Kashmiri people drowned the graves of their ancestors and lightened the country.
He thanked the chief minister of Punjab Shehbaz Sharif for allocating a hefty grant of rupee 1 crore to each refugee MLAs of AJK. “I am grateful to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif that he gave 90 million rupees to the members of the legislative assembly AJK besides commitment of the provision of employment”, he said.
Seeking the migrant community’s support for PML-N the AJK PM Raja Farooq Haider Khan said that the Muslim League led by Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the country.
He said that it was quite unfortunate that on one hand the US was hurling serious threats against country while on the other some short-sighted and inexperienced political leaders were trying to foment anarchy and political instability in the country.
Terming no confidence motion against Balochistan CM as a conspiracy he said that the move was intended to defer the senate elections. “The situation in Pakistan makes us more worried than that of the situation in Indian held Kashmir”, he said adding that Pakistan happens to be the sole supporter that has been championing our cause at international level. “When Trump and Modi were hurling threats our media was enthusiastically playing the issue of Panama day in and day out”, he said adding that the country which came into existence on the basis of Islam cannot afford an abusive, obnoxious and disparaging culture.
Senator Ghos Ali Shah Niazi, MNA Shakir Bashir Awan, President of PML-N Khushab Muhammad Nazir Inqalabi, Ghulam Muhammad Twana, Muhammad Younis, Administrator Municipal Corporation Mirpur Chaudhry Muhammad Malik and others also addressed the function.
