President Mamnoon Hussain has said welfare of nine hundred thousand overseas Pakistanis is an important responsibility of the country.

Talking to Chairman Board of Governors of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation, Barrister Amjad Malik in Islamabad on Thursday, the President directed to improve welfare of the community and performance of officers in the embassies of Pakistan.

He said issues of overseas Pakistanis need to be solved on priority basis.

The President also directed to ensure enrolment of children of overseas citizens to Pakistani educational institutes.

Mamnoon Hussain stressed on the need of establishing Pakistani schools in Arab countries. He said that provision of affordable education is vital for children of Pakistanis working in Arab states.
