Islamabad: (Parliament Times) On International Migrants Day the OPF organised Special Urdu English Inter Colleges Speech Contest titled as “Young generation their Challenges and Opportunities” at OPF Boys College H-8/4, Islamabad on Tuesday.

Barrister Amjad Malik Chairman OPF was the Chief Guest of the Event.

The debaters spoke passionately on the given topics. It was evident that the students were well prepared as they used various skills like overstatement, definition, and irony to convince the audience.

Speaking on the occasion the OPF chairman Said, “We have had a motivating speech contest on “Challenges of the Younger Generation” It remindes me of my student life when we used to participate in such fruitful activities. The Passions backed by strong argument is always required to execute your skills of oratory and I am glad that our students have displayed both of them, The Topic anticipating the needs of our students, was very vigilantly chosen and differently executed. Our new generation is living in an era which is both testing and demanding, this era is marked with an excessive use of technology and every now and then we are hear about the advancement owing to technology. On of the contestant have rightly indicated that this influence of technology have transformed our lives to a great extent”.

Commenting on “Migrants Days” Chairman OPF Barrister Amjad Malik pointed out that the day is celebrated with reference to overseas Pakistani who sacrifice their happiness to benefit their families and ultimately to the country. “Pakistan Sent home $20.5 Billion in remittance in 2016, an increase of 5.1% over 2015. According to the World Bank Pakistan remittance are 7.5% of its 2015 GDP of $270 Billion, This Work force of 7 million contributes almost 7% to the Country GDP”, he added.

The Chairman OPF Said that we continue enjoying the mutual collaboration and trust in order to strengthen our relationship, crucial for national development.
