Quetta: (Parliament Times) Terming CPEC as a guarantor of economic prosperity for Pakistan the governor of Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that the mega project would usher the country and particularly the Balochistan province into a new era of progress and economic prosperity.

The Balochistan governor made these remarks while addressing 8th passing out parade of Baloch recruits in Quetta on Tuesday. Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa, provincial ministers, high civil and military officials and students of different schools participated the prestigious event. Speaking on the occasion the Governor Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said that he was glad to see that Baloch youth were joining Pakistan army in huge numbers to serve the nation besides defending the frontiers of the country. He said that the miscreants, at the behest of enemies’ were trying to foment trouble in Pakistan. To thwart these conspiracies Achakzai said that unity and concurrence at all levels was the only way to foil the nefarious designs of enemy.

Governor of Balochistan Muhammad Khan Achakzai said that the brave Baloch youths who have joined Pakistan army were rendering great services for the country. “Today, the government, security forces and every citizen of this country stand united in our joint struggle to root out the menace of terrorism from the country”, he said adding that the day was not far when our beloved country would be freed of these conspirators who were hell bent on to create chaos and anarchy.

Hailing the sacrifices of Pakistan army, the governor said that Pakistan army has offered unprecedented sacrifices during their years’ long war against terror. “The sacrifices rendered by Pakistan army during war against terror are unforgettable”, he maintained.

Referring to Baloch youths eagerness and enthusiasm to join Pakistan army he said, “We are grateful to Pakistan army for paying special attention towards the recruitment of Baloch youth in the army”. He said that it was quite heartening to see that more than thirteen thousand Baloch youth have joined Pakistan army so far and now 580 more youths have completed their training to serve the country.

He said that under Khushall (Prosperous) Balochistan programme the provincial government and Pak Army were working painstakingly to fight the educational backwardness in the province.
