Islamabad : Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) has clarified that it has recruited 1045 employees in different scales in last four years and all these recruitments were made on merit as per recruitment and selection policy of the bank duly approved by the Board of Directors.
A spokesman of the ZTBL while clarifying position on the fresh recruitments, said that during these four years 1060 employees were retired and bank only recruited the new employees against the vacant posts.
The spokesman said all the positions in ZTBL were advertised in the press as well as placed on the bank website after approval of the President of the Bank. He said candidates have to submit their application on line through ZTBL website and whole recruitment process is being kept transparent.
Giving details the spokesman said during last four years the ZTBL recruited one Chief Operating Officer, one Ombudsman, one HR Specialist, one agricultural Project Specialist, 4 Executive Vice Presidents, 14 Senior Vice Presidents, one Assistant Senior Vice President, 22 Vice Presidents, 30 Assistant Vice Presidents, 44 Officers in Grade 1 while 67 Officers in Grade II and 869 Officers in Grade III. Out of 1045 employees recruited in last four years in ZTBL, 318 were recruited in 2017, while 253 recruited in 2016, whereas 139 in 2015 and 335 were recruited in 2014.
Regarding disbursement the of loans to farmers, the spokesman said the ZTBL disbursed Rs 80.337 billion in 2017 so far while Bank disburse Rs. 92.843 billion in 2016, during 2015 the Bank disbursed Rs. 95.419 billion. During 2014, the Bank disbursed loans amounting to Rs. 81.933 billion among the farmers
The spokesman said the loans are mainly for khareef and rabbi crops. He said the customers of ZTBL has been crossed the number of 175 000 while the bank has opened 80 new branches in different small towns of the country.
