Islamabad: Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said that Pakistan and Yemen are brotherly Islamic countries and enjoying cordial relations.
He said this while talking to ambassador of Yemen to Pakistan, Mohammed Motahar Alashabi who called on him here Friday.
The Federal Minister welcomed the Ambassador of Yemen and matters regarding education and sports besides scholarship program for Yemeni students were discussed during the meeting.
Riaz Pirzada said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Yemen and people of Pakistan have great respect for the people of Yemen.
Ambassador Motahar Alashabi said that Pakistan and Yemen have close and fraternal ties. He noted that students from Yemen are studying in different educational institutions in Pakistan.
Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada said that Yemeni students will be provided proper facilities in Pakistan, adding that students of Yemen will be provided scholarships under Cultural Exchange Program. At the end, Ambassador of Yemen thanked Federal Minister Riaz Pirzada. Director General Pakistan Sports Board Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera and officers of Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination were also present in the meeting.
