Islamabad: After disappointment from political parties, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to lend support from civil society and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to register more than 8 million female voters.

Drive will start from today (Monday) to help out females in making their National Identity Cards (NIC) across 79 districts of the country so that they could be enrolled as voters. ECP will start registration in Islamabad Secretariat from Monday and females from higher gender disparity areas would be registered first at the initial stage.
The drive will formally be kicked off by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Sardar Muhammad Raza. Civil society, donor agencies and officials of NADRA will help ECP during the campaign.
