Islamabad: Hearing of case pertaining to sit-in of various religious parties at Faizabad interchange has been adjourned being Islamabad High Court (IHC) Judge Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui unwell on Thursday.
During previous hearing of the case court had given 2 days time to government for ending sit -in and government was to inform the court on Thursday about the steps taken for ending sit in.

On previous hearing the court had summoned Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and expressed resentment over sit in being staged at Faizabad interchange.
Court had also issued contempt court show cause notices to federal interior secretary, IG Islamabad, and Chief Commissioner on previous hearing.
On the other hand, all those meetings between government and religious parties leaders aimed at ending Dharna remained unproductive as no party is ready to budge an inch from its stance.
It is vital to mention here that sit-in of various religious parties on Faizabad Interchange has entered 18th day while citizens including government employees, students are facing difficulties in reaching their working places and educational institutes due to the steps taken by the government for maintaining law and order.
