PML-N takes serious notice against absentee MPs from PM’s reception
Islamabad: The ruling party has decided to take stern action against those Members Parliament who remained absent from reception hosted by the Prime Minister, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.
Sources told that PML-N has also decided to issue showcase notices to MPs who had not attended reception hosted by the Prime Minister. In this regard, list of the absentee MPs has been summoned. Chief of PML-N has expressed anguish over the absence of MPs despite all out efforts made by the government.
Emergency contacts were made by Parliament House, President House, Prime Minister House, Secretariat and Cabinet Enclave to MPs but telephonic contacts were disconnected. The sources claimed that daughter of ex-PM also telephoned MPs for participation in the PM’s reception. Moreover, former PM cancelling his London tour, focused on PM Shahid Khaqan’s reception but 128, 134, 138 or 146 Members Parliament participated in the reception.
Maryam Nawaz has sought footage from sensitive institutions, electronic and print media regarding participating members. Former PM had cancelled his London tour only for Shahid Khaqan Abbsi’s reception, sources asserted. In the presence of MPs, former PM had to give message that he (Nawaz) will stay in Pakistan and face the cases but the absence of MPs has led to new political turmoil from Prime House to all upper houses while PML-N is the coma.
