S. A Haidri
Muzaffarabad:(Parliament Times) Voicing serious concern over the worsening LoC situation the prime minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan has said that the international community and world human rights organizations should take effective notice of unprovoked Indian shelling and targeting of innocent civilians across the line of control.
“The world community must ask India as why these women and children are being killed and what kind of terrorism they are involved in”, the AJK PM said in a press statement issued here on Friday. Denouncing the Indian naked aggression on the LoC the AJK premier said that India has turned these peripheral areas into a ‘no-go area’ for civilians. “Indian army’s conduct reflected its deliberate disregard to its commitments regarding ceasefire agreement”, he said adding that killing of innocent civilians by Indian troops across the line of control merits urgent attention of the United Nations.India he said wants to push back the civilian population thereby by resorting to heavy shelling. “India has started a limited war on Line of Control”, the Prime Minister said adding that 5 lakh people settled in different villages and towns adjacent to LoC will foil India’s nefarious designs. “The valiant people living in these areas would stand should to shoulder with Pakistan Army while defending the country”, Khan said adding that Indian was hell bent on to weaken Pakistan. He said the India’s expansionist designs in the region were a serious threat to peace and stability in South Asia. He said that billions of people living in the region would be exposed to a grave risk of harm if international community fails to take notice of the Indian expansionist designs. He warned India of dire consequences in case of any misadventure by its troops on the LoC.
Regarding Indian leaders’ statements of reclaiming AJK he said that issuing such statements was an abortive attempt to please the extremist vote bank besides encouraging its armed forces who suffered fiasco at the hands of brave and resilient Kashmiris.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister instructed the relevant departments to provide facilities to the victims of Indian firing on the LOC. “Any kind of negligence will not be tolerated in this regard”, he said adding that a reasonable increase in compensation to the LOC martyrs and injured have been given. “The victims will also be compensated for the loss of property losses”, he maintained.
