Islamabad: Pakistan and Poland have discussed ways and means to enhance cooperation in diverse fields especially economy, trade, investment, energy, agriculture, science and technology, IT and defence.
In line with the statement issued by the foreign office on Thursday, Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua while talking to the Deputy Minister of Poland, Marek Magierowski underscored the need for enhanced efforts to add greater context to bilateral relations.
The Foreign Secretary briefed the Deputy Foreign Minister on Pakistan’s gains in the security and counter terrorism areas, economic growth and strengthening of democratic institutions.
She also highlighted Pakistan’s perspectives on challenges confronting the region, including the situation in Afghanistan
The two countries had a comprehensive review of bilateral relations during 6th Round of Pakistan-Poland Bilateral Political Consultations that has concluded, statement added.
The two sides deliberated on the emerging peace and security environment at the regional and global levels.
The Polish side was briefed on the human rights violations of Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
The Polish side was also apprised on Pakistan’s credentials for the membership of the Nuclear Suppliers Group and the need for a criteria-based, non-discriminatory approach for new non-NPT states.
It is worth mentioning here that official delegation of Poland after three day visit in Pakistan will go back to their country.
During their official visit to Pakistan, delegation met with representatives of human rights including Provincial Minister for Human Rights Tahir Khalil Sindhu.
According to sources Polish delegation also met with political and military leaderships.
