Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Reaffirming his country’s full support to Kashmir just cause, the former prime minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan will continue its political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashimiri people in their struggle for right to self-determination.

Sharif made these remarks while talking to AJK premier Raja Farooq Haider Khan at the sidelines of the Party’s (PML_N) Central Executive Committee meeting (CEC) here on Monday. During the meeting the duo discussed in detail the current political situation and party matters in the meeting. Speaking on the occasion the former prime minister said that Pakistan will continue to project the Kashmir issue at all available international forums. AJK PM on the occasion briefed the PML-N chief about the development projects ongoing in Azad Kashmir. While expressing satisfaction over the AJK government’s performance Sharif said that the PML-N government in the center would provide necessary resources to AJK government to ensure a speedy and smooth development process in the region.

After meeting, PM AJK while talking to media said that there was a dire need that all the political forces should come forward with a positive state of mind to ensure political stability in the country. “All political parties should come forward and work together for supremacy of democracy and political stability of the country”, he said adding that survival of the country inescapably lies in upholding constitution, democracy and rule of law. He said that media being the fourth pillar of the state should also discharge its duties in this regard.

Terming former premier as his Quaid (Leader) the AJK premier expressed the optimism that Nawaz Sharif would be re-elected as the president of Pakistan Muslim League (N) unopposed. Terming existence of political leadership as indispensable for the country’s progress, prosperity and stability he said that it is in fact the political leadership that steer nations out of crisis and convolution. In order to achieve the goal of broader prosperity and stability he said political parties should devise a comprehensive strategy and implement it in letter and spirit. Regarding Nawaz Sharif’s decision to face the accountability courts he said that Sharif’s landmark decision to present him-self before the accountability courts amply demonstrates the fact that his hands were clean. He said that court decisions are for public interest and public have the right to talk on it. He said that after judicial murder of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto everyone talks about that decision, so this is not something unusual to talk on any court decision.

The AJK PM said that the PML-N central executive committee meeting also expressed grave concern over the prevailing political and human rights situation in Indian Held Kashmir and denounced in strong terms the Indian state terrorism and cross-LoC firing along the line of control by Indian troops. Khan said that India was responsible for this deteriorating situation in occupied Kashmir and this issue is a big hurdle for peace in South Asia.
He said that participants of the CEC meeting also reiterated their unflinching support to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. Meanwhile, PM AJK also met other federal ministers and discussed the issues related to public interest.
