Lahore: Lahore High Court (LHC) has rejected the contempt of court case filed against Former President General (Retd) Pervaiz Musharraf declaring it non-maintainable.
single bench of LHC led by Justice Shahid Karim took up the case for hearing Wednesday.
A petitioner Nadeem Butt Advocate filed a petition in LHC against Former President while taking the plea that Retd General Musharraf gave anti-judiciary statements ,therefore court should order law ministry to formulate high level committee for inquiry in matter besides imposing ban on All Pakistan Muslim League.
The petitioner further prayed to court that it should initiate contempt of court proceedings against Musharraf.
The court had reserved the judgment some days before after hearing the arguments of respondents and now on Wednesday court while declaring it non-maintainable dismissed the petition.
