Islamabad: A full court meeting was held here Monday observed that untiring efforts should be made to reduce the pendency and clear the backlog of the cases.
Chairing the full court meeting, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, the Chief Justice reviewed the institution and disposal figure of cases and expressed satisfaction over the overall performance. The full court also discussed in detail different strategies for effective functioning of the Court so that dispensation of justice can be further improved and relief can be provided to litigants.
The CJP welcomed the Judges and thanked them for their commitment and support to advance the cause of justice. He also welcomed newly elevated Judges namely Justice Ijaz ul Ahsan, Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel and Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah and hoped that their elevation will further benefit the institution. It was the first full court meeting chaired by CJP Mian Saqib Nisar after assuming the highest judicial office.
Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa, senior Pusine Judge, on his own behalf and behalf of other Judges congratulated the Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Mian Saqib Nisar on assuming highest judicial office of the country and assured of full support and cooperation for the administration of justice.

Azmat Saeed, Justice Mushir Alam, Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Justice Qazi Faez Isa, Justice Maqbool Baqar, Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Justice Sardar Tariq Masood, Justice Faisal Arab, Ijaz ul Ahsan and Justice Syed Sajjad Ali Shah. Arbab Muhammad Arif, Registrar Supreme Court also attended the meeting.
