Muzaffarabad: President PPP AJK chapter Ch. Latif Akbar warned AJK government that if Education package was abolished through legislation then government will be responsible for all the impacts.
While addressing a press conference in central press club Muzaffarabad, he said” In case PMLN government tried to do any adventure against supreme court verdict then their fate would be no different than their leader Nawaz Sharif.” The PPP president also organized a huge public gathering to express his party’s resentment against government policies on 11th September in Baloch constituency.
Ex Minister Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, Hanif Awan, Sardar Mubarak, Shaukat Javed Mir, Syed Majaaz Shah and other party leaders were also present in the press conference.
Referring to his government’s pro-people policies, Akbar said that the PPP government facilitated the masses despite having limited resources, he said,” We built 5 universities, 3 medical colleges, and more than 600 educational institutes, but present government is showing an anti-education attitude and also violating the decision of Supreme court”
He said that court restored the education package and it should be implemented,” We upgraded the institutes even in far-flung areas of the State, PML.N filed writ petitions against these upgradation but failed,” Akbar added.
He said that people of AJK will not accept any legislation against education package. He said,” We will not let the masses to be un-employed again, justice should and must prevail as per decision of the court”. Ch. Latif Akbar reiterated that chief secretary AJK must ensure the implementation of the court decision regarding the restoration of education package throughout the state.
