MIRPUR (AJK): Speakers at a seminar hosted by Mirpur University of Science & Technology at its city campus to mark Defense and Martyrs Day of Pakistan here Wednesday emphasized upon international community to smell gravity of the constantly increased human rights abuses in the Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir state where the occupational forces of India have unleashed the reign of state terrorism and violence to suppress Kashmiris’ indigenous and peaceful struggle for freedom of their motherland from the Indian clutches. Addressing the seminar, speakers including Vice Chancellor Prof.
Dr. Habib ur Rehman Sitara e Imtiaz, Registrar Engr. Muhammad Waris Jiraal, Dean Sciences Prof. Dr. Rehana Asghar, Dean Arts Dr. Maqsood Ahmed, Dean Engineering Dr. Anwar Khatab, Prof. Naseem Akhter Coordinator MUST Bhimbher Campus, Chairman Power Engineering Prof. Shabir Mirza, Director Students Affairs Prof. Shahid Amin, Chairperson English Department Asma Iqbal Kiyani and others said that the early peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue was key to establish ever-lasting and durable peace in South Asia through the grant of legitimate right of self determination to the people of Jammu & Kashmir State.
Speakers further called upon the international community move for an immediate stringent action against India for violating the Line of Control in Jammu & Kashmir by resorting to unprovoked firing against the civil populous forward locations close to this side of the LoC in AJK.

Addressing the seminar VC MUST Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rehman reiterated the determination that people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir including youth will not lag behind at any stage to safeguard inch after inch of Pakistan – besides the entire Pakistani nation as and when required. Entire nation is prepared to safeguard the ideological and geographical frontiers of Pakistan every moment, he added. Dr. Habib ur Rehman said that valiant forces of the country have rendered matchless sacrifices in defending the frontiers of the country in 1965.
He said that the international community should play its role for resolution of Kashmir dispute. He added that the people of Occupied Kashmir are rendering unprecedented sacrifices for their freedom.
He said Pakistan has been extending consistently its moral, diplomatic and political support to Kashmiri people for their just struggle for right to self-determination.The Vice Chancellor underlined that the historic day of 6th September 1965 has great significance in the history of Pakistan when valiant armed forces of the country. Speakers including Registrar MUST Prof. Engr. Muhammad Waris Jiraal, Dean Sciences Prof. Dr. Rehana Asghar, Dean Engineer Prof. Dr. Anwar Khatab and others paid rich tributes to those valiant sons of the soil including the brave armed forces of Pakistan for giving supreme sacrifices of their lives in 1965- Pakistan-India war for the defense of the ideological and geographical frontiers of the country.
Paying glorious tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs besides reiterating complete solidarity with the freedom-loving brethren of occupied Jammu & Kashmir, speakers said that the great mission of Kashmiri martyrs will continue till the freedom of occupied Jammu & Kashmir from Indian yoke and to make entire Himalayan state a part of Pakistan.
