GILGIT: President Mamnoon Hussain has said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will put the entire region on path of development.
Addressing 8th convocation of Karakorum International University in Gilgit on Friday, he said Gilgit-Baltistan and Balochistan will get maximum benefit from CPEC.
The President said huge foreign investment is coming to Pakistan under CPEC.
He hailed the initiative of setting up CPEC cell at Karakoram International University for conducting research on this game changer project.
Mamnoon Hussain said development budget of Gilgit-Baltistan has been enhanced from eight billion rupees to eighteen billion rupees, which will help alleviate poverty in the area.
The President gave away gold medals to the position holders and degrees to the graduates.
Earlier, the President inaugurated Education Faculty building in Campus.
