Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, police on Thursday foiled the scheduled press conference of the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) at its Sanat Nagar headquarters in Srinagar and arrested party’s General Secretary, Maulana Abdullah Tari.
The DFP Chairman Shabbir Ahmad Shah was on Wednesday attacked by inmates in Patiala Court police lockup.
He is kept among notorious criminals in Delhi’s Tihar Jail where he is receiving life threats and denied every basic facility including medicines. The party had called for a media briefing in this regard which has now been delayed due to police action.
The DFP in its statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the police action and said the puppet administration is creating impediments in conveying the truth to people.
