Lahore: The orders of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for barring ousted Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif from acting as PML-N president has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC).
A petitioner, Muhammad Amin has filed a petition in LHC challenging ECP orders for stopping ex -Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from acting as president of PML-N.
He took the plea that ECP issued orders under political party’s ordinance section/ 5 while this section runs contrary to Article 17 of the constitution.
It is vital to mention here that former PM Nawaz had filed review petition in Supreme Court on panama judgment while taking the plea that the verdict in panama case was in derogation of law and against the facts.
