Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdul Rasheed has said that shutdown against attempts aimed at abrogating the Article 35A is an eye-opener for India.
Engineer Abdul Rasheed in a statement issued in Srinagar said people have shown unity as usual and New Delhi must be prepared to face the worst if it continues with its dirty measures against the special status of Kashmir.
It is disgracing that on one hand the puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti claimed that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured her of not weakening the special status including Article 35A, but on the other has decided not to defend India’s own Constitution in the Supreme Court.
He appealed masses to be prepared for more stiff resistance to foil New Delhi’s nefarious designs. “By not defending 35A in the Supreme Court not only Indian government but Mehbooba Mufti also stands exposed for misleading people,†he added.
