Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) AJ&K Secretary for Tourism, Information and IT, Mansoor Qadir Dar has said that on special directives of the Prime Minister and Minister for Information AJK government would organise a grand adventure Gala on 13, 14 and 15th of August to mark the 70th Independence Day of Pakistan at Rawalakot this year.

Holding a press conference along with the Director General (DG) Information Raja Azhar Iqbal and DG Tourism Javed Ayub at Press Information Department here on Thursday the Secretary Tourism said that Paragliding, motor gliding, aero modeling and local games like Gatka Baazi’ musical performance with national songs ,poetry would feature the event.
He said a lot of entertainment for families and kids would be a part of Independence Day celebrations. The secretary said that the events being organized in connection with Independence Day are of great significance.

He said that information department of AJK government, Azad Jammu Kashmir radio Muzaffarabad, AJK television center Muzaffarabad and PTV News bureau will make special arrangements for the appropriate coverage of the events. Mansoor Qadir Dar further said that AJK has great potential for tourism and the government is taking important decision for the development of this sector.

He assured the expected tourists of security and other services to make their trips memorable. He said official organising committees had been formed to ensure the arrangements including the cleanliness of the tourists spots.
He further said that SMS services based on useful information and smart cards are also being provided to tourists for their convenience and to avoid security checks every time.
