ISLAMABAD: (Parliament Times) The Provincial Minister Sardar Raza Muhammad Barraich has said that books are the messenger of peace, brotherhood and harmony among people and these can change the destiny of nation.
The Provincial Minister expressed these views during inaugural session of NBF third National Book Day at the Independence Day to be held at University of Baluchistan, Quetta. The Provincial Minister for information, Prosecution and Law said, that every year at the eve of Independence Day of Pakistan, the holding of National Book Day is very positive and constructive activity of National Book Foundation. “This is almost proactive and uncourageous thing, a tradition of enlightenment and good thing to be held a book festival for upholding an atmosphere of Peace, harmony and brotherhood among Pakistanis particularly in Quetta,” he expressed there.
Earlier Sardar Raza Muhammad Barraich was warmly welcomed on his arrival at University of Baluchistan. At this auspicious occasion, Dr. Javed Iqbal, Vice Chancellor University of Baluchistan, also expressed his views that books are very useful and important in our daily life. “The books play very vital role in our life and these are inspiring source for making our daily routine charmful”, he said.

The Chief Guest Sardar Raza Muhammad Barraich appreciated the central role of National Book Foundation in holding this QAUMI KITAB MELA in the capital of Baluchistan. This Mela has been holding in University of Baluchistan, Quetta for five days from 7th August to 11th August 2017. Along with him, many noble and dignities of literature, education and other fields of life attended this glorious Kitab Mela. Many people of all walks of life came with their families, youth and kids took keen interest in Kitab Mela. Provincial Minister Sardar Raza Muhammad Barich visited the book stalls established by the publishers and printers who came from all over the country. Specially, he visited NBF Bookshop and lauded its efforts in promotion of book culture among Pakistanis and termed it a very important national service, NBF has been rendering since long here. He said that NBF Readers’ Club Scheme is very popular among people far and wide in the country as it is selling all categories of books of different prices at discounted rates.
Provincial Minister Sardar Raza Muhammad Barraich was gifted the Holy Quraan which was published first time by National Book Foundation. The NBF Regional Incharge, Mr. Raheel Bugti expressed his views and said that it is very encouraging for us to see the large number of people attended it. The young students, educationists, academicians, literary personalities took keen interest in it.
