LAHORE : Gujranwala’s Adnan Tyran Wala won the Sher-e-Punjab Dangal by brushing aside Tariq Pehlwan in a fight that continued for 27 minutes here at Punjab Stadium.
Adnan was given a cash prize of Rs60,000 but the wrestler complained about the reward, and requested the administration to increase the cash money. Adnan Tyran Wala said this amount will be spent on his food in just 15 days.
Chief organizer of the fight and Prime Minister’s Task Force Chairman Ijaz Gul told that Punjab Sports Board (PSB) did not grant the funds as were promised, and that is the reason of low amount of cash prizes.
Apart from Sher-e-Punjab Dangal, Mama Pehlwan, Nomi Pehlwan and Tayyab Pehlwan won their fights in respective categories.
