QUETTA: (Parliament Times) District Police Officer (DPO) Chaman Sajid Mehmand was martyred in a bomb attack in Chamman on Monday.
According to Police, over twelve persons including police personnel were also injured in the blast. The blast was occurred near the vehicle of DPO Chamman.
Injured have been shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman for medical treatment.
Law enforcement agencies personnel cordoned off the area.
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan have strongly condemned the attack.
They expressed deep grief and sorrow over martyrdom of the police officer in the attack and prayed for early recovery of those injured.
The Prime Minister directed for best possible medical treatment for those injured in the attack.
