MIRPUR (AJK):(Parliament Times) People across Azad Jammu & Kashmir observed ‘Jumma-tul-Widah’, as ‘Youm-e-Dua’ to pray for the early success of the Kashmiris’ ongoing liberation struggle against Indian occupation.

It many be recalled here that the call for observing the Jumma tul Widah as ‘Youm e Dua’ was given by the Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider Khan. In this connection special prayers were offered at all small and major mosques in the capital city of Muzaffarabad and other district and tehsil headquarters. After Friday prayers rallies were held to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir which were attended by people hailing from all segments of society including social, political and human rights activists, lawyers, journalists, members of business fraternity, government employees and others.
Addressing the rallies, speakers representing all shades of public opinion expressed complete solidarity with their Kashmiri brethren in IHK and vowed to continue their all out support to Kashmir cause till they [Kashmiris] achieve their cherished goal of freedom from Indian imperialism.

They strongly condemned the stepped-up human rights abuses and genocide of Kashmiris by the Indian occupational forces in Indian-held Jammu & Kashmir demanding international community to take effective cognizance of the deteriorating situation in held Kashmir.

In Mirpur, ‘Youm-e-Dua’ rally wad taken out from District Courts Premises under the auspices of National Events Organising Committee (NEOC) with the coordination of various representative organizations of masses including District Gazetted and Non-gazetted Employees Organizations, Markazi Anjuman e Tajran, District Bar Association, Teachers Organisation, MDA Employees Union, AJK Union of Journalists, led by Director General Kashmir Liberation Cell Fida Hussain Kiyani, NEOC Chairman Ansar Yaqoob, Additional SP Mirza Zahid, Sr. Vice Chairmen Raja Farooq Akram and Raja Qaiser Aurangzeb, Secretary General Altaf Hamid Rao, President DBA Shabir Sharif Advocate, President Markazi Anjuman e Tajraan Ch. Muhammad Naeem, Gazetted Employees Organisation leader Ch. Gulzar Ali, President Distt Non-gazetted Employees Organisation Masood Ahmed Rathore, MDA Employees Union Lala Abdul Qayyum, district Education Officer Raja Rashid Turaab and others.
Addressing the participants of the rally speakers vehemently condemned the killings of innocent Kashmiris by the occupational forces in the Indian held Jammu & Kashmir.
“Uprising of Kashmiris show that they want to get rid of India and she will not be able to hold them by force for long”, speakers underlined inviting the United Nations and the freedom and human rights loving nations to immediately move for getting the Indian state aggression stopped in the turbulent occupied valley of Kashmir.

Fida Hussain Kiyani said that waving Pakistan national flag in IOK was a clear sign of their affection and love for nation of Pakistan. The speakers further condemned India for banning social media, internet, print and electronic media. The DG KLC said, “Freedom struggle of Kashmiris is legitimate. World should take notice of worst human right violations by Indian armed forces. Killing of unarmed Kashmiris in IOK is state terrorism”
District Bar Association President Shabir Sharif Advocate called upon the United nations and India to honour their commitments for free and fair plebiscite to determine will of the Kashmiri people. “As Kashmir is a dispute between two nuclear nations, it continuously poses threat to the regional and world peace as well. The peace loving nations of the world should come forward to help facilitate resolution of the Kashmir conflict to the satisfaction of the Kashmiri people, he urged.
The rally passed through major streets and culminate at the site of its origin with the special prayer for the early success of the Kashmir freedom movement.
