Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) The President of Pakistan Peoples Party (AJK chapter), Chudhary Latif Akbar has said that Raja Farooq Haider Khan was made Prime Minister of AJK on the condition of making Gilgit Baltistan a formal province of Pakistan.

In a direct reference to incumbent PM the PPP president said, “While in opposition he kept harping on the territorial identity of the State but after becoming PM the same person was seen spearheading the campaign intended to divide Kashmir”. Latif was of the view that the PML-N was hell bent upon to divide the state. “Nothing can be expected from them, tomorrow they will say that CPEC’s route will go through AJK and therefore it should be converted into a province”.

Regarding PML_N government’s choice for presidential candidate he said that it was quite astonishing to note that the person who had not even identity card of AJK was made president of the State.

Akbar also criticized the Pakistan Prime Minister’s silence over the plight of Kashmiris. He said that on one hand Kashmiris were being butchered, killed and maimed by Indian occupation forces while on the other Pak premier was doing business deals with Modi. He said that all know about Raja Farooq Haider that whose’ loyal he was?
He said that in order to become PM, Raja Farooq Haider Khan had blackmailed Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan in 2009. Chudhary said that when a crane lifted a vehicle with Mrs. Sharif inside, Sardar Sikander Hayat Khan and Farooq Haider Khan were raising slogans in favour of Pervez Musharraf in Muzaffarabad.

As far as PPP’s commitment to Kashmir cause is concerned Akbar said that the PPP founder Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto had vowed to fight for a thousand years for Kashmir, whereas Muhatarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed always raised her voice in favour of Kashmiris’ right to self-determination at every international forum. He said that Bialwal Bhutto spoke openly in favour of the rights of Kashmiri people on denounced Indian brutalities in Kashmir. To the contrary he said that PM Sharif remained tight lipped and did not utter even a single word on simmering situation in held Kashmir.
