Quetta: (Parliament Times) Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences (QIMS) organized under graduate scientific seminar here on Monday wherein the students of Medical College presented their research papers.
Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai was the chief guest on the occasion, whereas CMH Commandant Brigadier Salman Ahmed, DMS Log Brigadier Zaheer Akhtar, and a large number of students attended the seminar. Dr. Arbab Abdul Wadood while appreciating the efforts made by students said that holding of such events would help the students in dealing the future challenges in the field of medicine. The chief organizer of the event Brigadier Salamn Saleem briefed the participants about the aims and objectives of the seminar and said that the research papers presented by regarding different diseases were highly appreciable.
Sajad Hussain (final year student) secured first position in the contest, whereas Mahnoor Khalid (3rd year students) and Rabia Nasir (4th year student) obtained second and third position respectively.
In research poster contest Soubia Marriyam got first position and Murad Ali and Tahreem Khalid got second and third position. Later the chief guest Engineer Ahmed Farooq Bazai distributed awards and shields amongst the students. Terming holding of scientific seminar as highly encouraging the chief guest said that the students should try to get their research papers published. He said that promoting quality and knowledge based education was our collective responsibility.
