Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Minister for Industry & Production Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi has said that incumbent government’s top priority was to facilitate the general public by providing them relief in high cost edibles and other daily use commodities during the month of Ramazan.
This was announced by Minister for Industry & Production Mr. Ghulam Murtaza Khan Jatoi, during a press conference on Monday. The minister made it clear that according to directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif the government has announced Ramzan Relief Package on 19 daily use items amounting to Rs. 1600 millions, which is effective from 22nd May 2017. “Public will avail this Relief Package from Utility Stores across the Countryâ€, the ministry said adding that 19 items including Sugar, Atta, Pulses, Dall Chana, white Chana, Bason, Dates, Tea leaves, rice, Tetra Pack, Milk, Drinks and condiments have been subsidized at Utility Stores.
In addition to that 5% to 10% relief is being given on more than 2400 items. This relief package is effective from 22nd May 2017 to Chand Rat.
