Mirpur: The prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Hyder Khan has said that the settlement of the ‘Tweet issue’ would strengthen democracy besides creating an atmosphere of unanimity and concurrence in the country.The prime minister made these assertions while addressing a reception ceremony, which was hosted in his honour by Ch. Muhammad Naeem the president of Traders’ body Mirpur on Thursday. The AJK premier said, “It is not a matter of victory or defeat, every thing has been sort out according to law and both Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Army Chief General Qamar Zaman Bajwa, deserve praise and appreciation”.He said that those who were hell bent upon destabilizing democracy and creating political instability in Pakistan were not happy over this landmark decision in favour of democracy.
Regarding his government’s future plans, he said that a lot of development work was going on in all districts and particularly Mirpur would be made hub of tourism activities. He said that a survey has been completed to provide Sui gas facilities to the residents of the lake view city Mirpur. He said that under the multibillion CPEC project Mirpur will become an industrial zone and within next couple of years the city would emerge as one of the prosperous cities. He said that the government has also setup investment board to facilitate local and foreign investors. Regarding local body election, Khan said that government was set to hold local body elections in October 2017.He said that those who were representing the people of Mirpur have badly exploited the people of the city and political bigwigs under the garb of Mungla Dam affectees had made allotments in their own favour. Referring to deteriorating human rights situation in Indian held Kashmir the Prime Minister told the traders’ body should organize a rally to express solidarity with the victims of Indian state terrorism in IoK.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Haider vehemently condemned the unprovoked firing by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC), in which one civilian embraced martyrdom and nine others got injured in Samahni,Bhimber and Khuiratta sectors.Slamming the Indian aggression, the prime minister said that people of Azad Kashmir can’t be frightened by these types of coward attacks, people of Pakistan and Pak army were with them. “Pak army is fully capable of defending the motherland,” he said.The Prime Minister said that after failure in held Kashmir, India was using unethical and illegal methods to pressure Pakistan to withdraw its moral support to Kashmiris.He criticized Indian government for the worst kind of human rights abuses in the held valley and called for an immediate cessation to Indian atrocities.
He said all political leadership was united against Indian illegal acts and atrocities.The Prime Minister visited the victims of Indian firing at district headquarters hospital and expressed sympathies with them.
The Prime Minister ordered the hospital administration for free medical services to injured persons at the hospital.
Earlier, according to deputy commissioner Kotli, Muhammad Rizwan s/o Muhammad Razzaq resident of Chorrhoi has embraced martyrdom, Muhammad Kamran,Walait Begum and Aziz Khan were got injured. According to deputy commissioner Bhimber Guftar Choudhry, in Samhain sector Karamatullah,Ujala Akhtar,Amanda Noor,Asad Abbas,Musarrat Shaheen,Muntizer Hussain were wounded by Indian firing and shelling.
