Quetta: (Parliament Times) The Institute of Medical Science Quetta organized Jeshan-e-Baharan Festival 2017 here on Wednesday. The festival was planned and arranged by the MBBS 3rd year students under the guidance of Professor Dr. Haneef Khalije, Lieutenant Col. (retired) Aziz-ur-Rehman Kakar and Lieutenant Col. (retired) Ali Mahdi.

The varsity students on the occasion setup different stalls including games, food items crockery and handicraft items. The principal QIMS Prof. Dr, Abab Wadood and Brig. Muhammed Aleem while inspecting the various stalls, appreciated the efforts and presentation of students saying that besides curriculum activities holding of extra-curriculum activities in the college was highly appreciable. Terming it as a healthy activity they said that students get better opportunities to enhance their capabilities by holding such events.
The Jashn-e-Baharan festival was also visited by students, parents and people hailing from different walks of life, whereas officers of CMH Qetta visited the festival and enjoyed the performance of varsity students who presented comedy dramas and other performances on the occasion.
It may be recalled here that a flower making competition was held at Serena Hotel wherein QIMS student was awarded for bagging first position in the contest. Prizes and certificates were also distributed amongst the students who participated in Model and Poster making competition held at the college.
