Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) While expressing solidarity with the people of Indian held territory of Jammu and Kashmir the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Raja Farooq Hyder Khan has urged the world human rights organizations to take effective cognizance of stepping-up human rights violations committed by Indian occupation forces in the region. Addressing a solidarity rally here on Wednesday the AJK premier said that Indian occupation forces have broken all records of barbarism and brutality by unleashing rein of terror in the region. While expressing his serious concern over the new spate of violence in region Khan stated that Indiaoccupation forces have crossed all limits of savagery in Kashmir by showering bullets and pellets on peaceful protesters in the region. He said that occupation forces in Kashmir were killing innocent civilians, using Kashmiri youth as human shields and blinding Kashmiri boys and girls by using pellet guns and live ammunition. Terming these acts as flagrant violation of international law he said that human rights defenders and civilized world must take effective notice of the worsening situation in Kashmir. “The oppression and atrocities have reached new heights as occupation forces have broken all records of barbarism and brutalities in the region”, the PM said adding that it was time that international community must shun its policy of indifference towards the sufferings of Kashmiri people. He said that for last seven decades people of Indian held Kashmir have been worst victims of Indian state terrorism but the recent spate of violence in the region has exposed the ugly face of so-called Indian democracy by targeting vulnerable segment of the society. “Since last one month educated youth of Kashmiri including male and female students have raised the banner of revolt against Indian illegal occupation”, he said adding that by imposing restrictions on internet and social media India has been trying to hide atrocities and heinous crimes committed by its forces in Kashmir. Addressing the participants of the rally the PM condemned in strong terms the brutalities of Indian forces on innocent Kashmiri people particularly students. Expressing solidarity with the victims of Indian state terrorism the prime minister said that all out efforts would be made to expose Indian atrocities at the international level. Pertinently, call for holding solidarity rallies, was given by AJK Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider Khan. In this connection main solidarity rally organized by Kashmir Liberation Cell in Muzaffarabad was led by Prime Minster Raja Farooq Hyder Khan and attended by a large number of people including leaders of various political and religious parties, members of Hurriyat Conference, legislators, members of lawyer’s community and representatives of the civil society. Whereas students of various government and private schools participated in the rally to express their solidarity with Kashmiri students who have been reeling under new wave of state repression and violence in Indian held Kashmir. Others who spoke on the occasion included Barrister Iftikhar Gilani the Minister for Education, Member legislative assembly Naseema Wani, Hurriyat leaders Ishtiaq Hameed, Eng.Muhstaq Mehmood, Hameed Lone, Idriees Abasi and others. The participants of the rally on the occasion raised high pitched slogans against India urging international community to put an immediate end to Indian atrocities in Held Kashmir. The participants of the rally later marched from Burhan Wani Chowk UNMOGIP office wherein the AJK premier presented memorandum urging the UN secretary general to take stock of the deteriorating political and human rights situation in Kashmir. Meanwhile solidarity rallies were held at other district and Tehsil headquarters of Azad Kashmir wherein participants reiterated their full support to their brethren of (IoK) who have been fighting for their right to self-determination. According to Daily Parliament times reporter Altaf Hameed Rao in Mirpur, major rally to observe the day was taken out from District Courts premises Wednesday morning under the auspices of the National Events Organizing Committee with the coordination of all segments of the civil society including social and political activists, traders, students, teachers, lawyers, journalists and the city elite. Member of AJK Legislative Assembly from treasury (PML-N) benches and ex minister Ch. Rukhsar Ahmed, Commissioner Mirpur division Zaffar Mahmood Khan, Chairman National Events Organising Committee and DC Ansar Yaqoob, Vice Chairmen Raja Farooq Akram and and others led the rally. Addressing the rally the Chief guest MLA Ch. Rukhsar Ahmed, the Chair – zaffar Mahmood Khan, student leaders Muhammad Sayam and Hafiz Ghulam Mustafa, DBA President Shabir Shareef Advocate, Jammat-e-Islami’s leader Bashir Shagoo and others strongly condemned the use of brutal forces and cowardly acts by the Indian occupation forces against the freedom loving people including the youth in occupied Jammu Kashmir. They said that freedom struggle has reached at the climax and point of no return in occupied Jammu & Kashmir. This fact was categorically admitted by the seasoned and serious class and intellectuals of India – who have warned New Delhi that she was loosing the Jammu & Kashmir state in her forced occupation. The speakers called upon the international community including the United Nations and other human rights organizations to immediately move for ensuring the early peaceful settlement of the Kashmir issue – which may endanger the peace not only in South Asia but the world over. They also called for the due global obligations of the comity of nations including the human rights organizations to manage for the due and proper treatment of thousands of the Indian pallet guns victims including the youth abroad or through the international organizations like the Red Cross. The speakers also strongly condemned the Indian nefarious move of imposing sanctions against the internet to gag the websites of social media in the occupied Kashmir valley to conceal the ugly situation of the occupied valley which is passing through the reign of Indian state terrorism.
