Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, illegally detained Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that the exemplary poll boycott has frustrated India and its stooges in Kashmir.

Muhammad Yasin Malik in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the negligible voting in 38 polling stations of Badgam yesterday as an eye-opener for Indian rulers, their Kashmiri stooges, Indian biased media and the international community. He said that yesterday’s election had demonstrated the real aspirations and will of the people of Kashmir.

Condemning the biased reporting of Indian media especially TV channels regarding Kashmir, the JKLF Chairman said these people have lost every moral, ethical and journalistic sense and are orchestrating Kashmiris as villains and monsters.

He said if these shameless channels can show a video of some CRPF personnel being unfairly manhandled by a mob why don’t they show the videos of target killing of an innocent teenager by the forces in Budgam on 9th April, beating and torturing of children and a Kashmiri boy strapped to the front of a Jeep being used as a human shield.

Yasin Malik said that exemplary boycott had frustrated Indian rulers and their stooges and that was why they are all hell bent upon victimisign Kashmiris.

Denouncing the ongoing oppression in Kashmir, in general, and Pulwama and Badgam in particular, the JKLF Chairman said that from last many days Tahab Pulwama is burning as police, SOG and other forces have unleashed a reign of terror. He said state-sponsored violence continues unabated.

Referring to the incident of recent attack on a Kashmiri, Mubarak Ahmad Butt of Kulgam, languishing in Kotbalwal jail from January 2010 by some Hindu goons in which he has been injured seriously, he said these attacks again show growing fascism that is being protected and propagated by rulers.

He also condemned the restrictions in Badgam and ban on Badgam Chalo programme and termed it frustration of the authorities.
