Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi has said that whenever the sham elections are conducted in Kashmir, India and it puppet regime step up oppression and brutalities against the people of the territory.

Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the Indian government was going to conduct the election drama in Srinagar and Islamabad and the Indian forces have increased oppression against innocent Kashmiris.

She said that from 10-year-old boys to 80 years old men, Indian forces were detaining every pro-freedom person across the Valley. “Our innocent children from South, central and north Kashmir are being arrested during nocturnal raids at their homes. Ironically, those children who have been injured by pellets and have lost eyesight completely or partially and have to visit hospitals for regular check-ups are being rounded up from hospital and are booked,” she deplored.

She said that the whole election drama and the oppressive measures adopted by India and its puppets against the resistance movement was nothing but frustration. “We must take note of how our youth are being brutalized physically and psychologically,” Aasiya Andrabi said.

She said that Indian media was staging fake interviews to defame the movement. “An Indian news channel staged a fake story showing how boys are paid for pelting stones and the next day it came to fore that how these teenagers were forced to give such interview. These boys clarified that they were threatened of dire consequences if they didn’t take part in this interview,” she maintained.

She urged the international community to take a notice of the Indian state terrorism in the territory and reiterated her call for complete boycott of the sham elections.
