Rawalpindi: AJK Minister for Information and Tourism, Mushtaq Ahmed Minhas has said it was wisdom, determination and political foresightedness of Quaid-e- Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah that won Pakistan for Muslims of Subcontinent by defeating crafty leadership of Hindu Congress and British India.
Addressing a ceremony held in connection with 29th death anniversary of former AJK President K H Khurshid in PID Rawalpindi office, he said K H Khurshid was trusted aide of Quaid Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who played an important role in freedom movement of Pakistan along with Quaid Azam and Muhtrama Fatima Jinnah. He said Quaid Azam not only appointed late K H Khurshid as his Personal Secretary soon after assuming the office of Governor General but also sent him to Srinagr with task to pave the way for establishment of Muslim League in Kashmir.
He said K H Khurshid also accepted the office of President of Azad Kashmir on the advice of Muthrama Fatima Jinnah and took revolutionary steps for Kashmir freedom movement and political and economic rights of the people of Azad Jammu and . He said it was K H Khurshid who openly supported Muthrama Fatima Jinnah in the politics against the dictatorial regime of Ayub Khan.
He urged the people to follow foot prints of the people like K H Khurshid and inculcate their teachings in the minds of new generation. The function was also attended by Deputy Director PID Raja Amjad Hussain Minhas, Assistant Director Shoukat Ali Malik, Khawaja Imranul Haq, Abdul Ghani Butt, Syed Mahmood Advocate, Chaudhry Saqib Advocate, Raja Khalid Mahmood, Rauf Ahmed Khawaja, Abdul waheed and people from different walks of life.
