Islamabad: (Parliament Times) Leader of the opposition in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin reached Geneva to lead an anti-India protest in front of United Nations Human Rights Commission’s Headquarters on March on Friday (today).
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) AJK chapter workers and other overseas Kashmiris settled in the different countries of Europe will join the march to raise the issue of human rights violations committed by Indian troops in Occupied Kashmir before the world community.
To make the anti-India protest successful Opposition leader Yasin earlier visited United Kingdom (UK) and Germany to bring more and more overseas Kashmiris to Geneva to join the anti-India protest.
It is time to expose India at international level that what its forces have been doing in Indian Occupied Kashmir following the Burhan Muzaffar Wani’s martyrdom, Yasin said.
Opposition leader Yasin added that we want to draw the world attention to take the notice of the use of pallet guns in Occupied state that had deprived hundreds of Kashmiri youth and children of their eyesight and injured over 2000 innocent peaceful protesters.
It is time for the global powers and human rights organizations to put pressure on India and settle the Jammu and Kashmir issue once for all to bring peace and security in the region.
Opposition leader further said that Kashmiris believe that European Union (EU) and UN Human Rights Commission will take the notice of the Kashmiris genocide and give them right to decide about their future as per the UN resolutions.
He said UN resolutions are bedrock of the Jammu and Kashmir issue and New Delhi has to implement these resolutions to settle this dispute which is a potential threat to the South Asian countries peace and security.
