Islamabad: (Parliament Times) The AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has said industrial zone in Bhimber and hydro power generation projects in the area, approved under China Pakistan Economic Corridor will bring development and prosperity in the state.
In an interview to state-run TV channel, he said under the vision of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, AJK government is working on improving good governance, economic stability and independence of Kashmir from India.
Masood Khan said AJK government with the help of Pakistan government is effectively working on education, infrastructure, health and tourism sectors. Replying to a question, he said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had courageously highlighted Kashmir issue in the UN General Assembly. He said Pakistan wants to resolve the Kashmir issue through dialogue but India is not sincere to resolve the lingering issue.
Later addressing trainee police officials at Sehala Police College, the President said that fully trained and well equipped police is indispensable to maintain law and order and to ensure uninterrupted economic development of the country. He said that our Armed forces defend and secure the frontiers of the country but internal security and law and orders is responsibility of the police. Highlighting the latest situation in occupied Kashmir, AJK President said that 700,000 Indian Army had turned Kashmir valley into a large military cantonment. The Indian forces deployed in Kashmir operating under draconian laws and unbridled powers are targeting Kashmiri youths to crush the freedom struggle of Kashmiri people for their right to self determination. He added The Kashmiri youth are fighting huge Indian war machine with stones and sticks and registering their abomination against Indian Occupation of their mother land by protesting on the streets of held valley. The people of Kashmir are determined to take their struggle to its logical conclusion despite all odds and the day is not far off when they will see the dawn of freedom and independence, he added. Earlier the president was warmly received on his arrival at Sehala Police College by Additional Inspector General Training Usman Khattak, Commandant of the College DIG Sohail Habib Tajik and others senior official of the police.
