DUBAI: Pakistan’s young and “talented” middle order batsman Umar Akmal on Sunday achieved a world record, an unwanted record of most ducks in T20 cricket.

Akmal was caught on slips by Mohammad Hafeez of young Hassan Ali’s delivery without opening his account, his second duck in three PSL innings.

This was overall 24th duck of his T20 career (including domestic and international Twenty20 games) in 203 innings.

Umar surpassed the trio of Dwayne Smith, Herschelle Gibbs and Tillakaratne Dilshan who all have 23 ducks in their T20 careers.
