Mangla: (Parliament Times) AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan on Tuesday visited Corps Head Quarters Mangla and held meeting with Corps Commander Lt. General Farooq Durani.
The Corps Commander and others senior officials received the president on his arrival at the Corps Head Quarter. Later president held a detailed meeting with the Corps Commanders and discussed a number of issues relating to Line of Control (LoC) situation in Occupied Kashmir, China Pakistan Economic Corridor and overall situation of the country.
The Corps Commander briefed the president about the professional preparedness of the Army and said that Pak Army is fully capable to defend frontier of the country and to respond any misadventure from the enemy. The Corps Commander also apprised the president about the role of armed forces in the war against terrorism and anti state elements in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan highly appreciated the role of Pak Army in defending frontier of the country and also for ensuring the defense of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He said that people of Azad Kashmir particularly remember the unprecedented services of Pak Army after the devastating earthquake of 2005.
The president also held an informal meeting with the senior officials of Army stationed in Mangla Corps Head Quarters. The President answered various questions asked by Army officials regarding Azad Jammu and Kashmir. He also shed light on the expected benefits of China Pakistan Corridor and said that CPEC will significantly beneficial for the people of both China and Pakistan.
