Islamabad: (Parliament Times)  AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has expressed his profound gratitude to the Republic of Turkey for categorical support to the Kashmiri peoples’ right to self determination.

Talking to Turk ambassador to Pakistan, Babar Sadiq who called on him here on Friday, President said that Turk President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s unequivocal solidarity with the struggling people of Jammu and Kashmir is great moral booster and government and people of Azad Jammu and Kashmir are highly indebted to the people and government of Turkey.

He said that Turkey always supported Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir at all international forums. Saying that people of Kashmir and Turkey are tied in strong bonds of brotherhood, common religion, culture and history, Sardar Masood said AJK people are will never forget the role played by Turkey after the devastating earthquake of 2005. He said Turkish government’s generous help in rehabilitating the decimated infrastructure and construction of state of the art buildings in capital Muzaffarabad are an emblem of love and fraternity between the people of the two regions.

Speaking on the occasion Turk ambassador Babar Sadiq explained the Tukey’s stance on Kashmir and said that his country will continue to support Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir issue and Kashmiri peoples’ struggle for their right to self determination. He assured AJK President that Turk government will raise the issue of gross violation of Kashmiri people’s rights with New Delhi.

Earlier AJK President and Turk ambassador discussed host of issues relating to Pakistan and Turkey. Later talking to foreign delegates of International Parliamentary Seminar, AJK President said India cannot keep people of Jammu and Kashmir forever and expressed his optimism that Kashmiris get freedom from the support of global community.
