Mirpur: (Parliament Times) A delegation of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by the President Chaudhry Sohaib Saeed called upon the Federal Minister for Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan.
The delegation comprised of prominent businessmen and industrialist from Azad Kashmir. In this important meeting President Chamber Ch. Sohaib Saeed appreciated the performance of Ministry of Commerce under the leadership of Minister Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan who has driven the export targets of the country despite a major slow down in China.
The AJKCCI delegation discussed various issues which included funding for an exhibition center and dry port through Export Development Fund to which the Minister Commerce agreed to facilitate. The delegation also apprised the Minister Commerce about representation issues of AJK at Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Federal Governments various boards and committees. The Minister Commerce appreciated the importance of the State of Azad Kashmir and approved representation on various boards and committees. The delegation also proposed an Made in AJK Exhibition in Birmingham, United Kingdom with the facilitation of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan which was again agreed in principle by the Federal Minister. The meeting ended with a note of special thanks by the President AJKCCI Ch. Sohaib Saeed who presented a souvenir to conclude the meeting. Minister Commerce Engr. Khurram Dastgir Khan appreciated the efforts of AJKCCI and assured support of Ministry of Commerce.
