Rawalpindi: (Parliament Times) In order to empower women and provide them with opportunities to be the earning hand of family CM Punjab Main Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken numerous measures and cattle distribution scheme is a step towards that direction.

This was stated by Parliamentary Secretary and MNA Raja Javed Ikhlas has while addressing the participants of cattle distribution ceremony held at Rawat. He said that Cattle Distribution Program has launched for the welfare of poor widows from rural areas and it will go a long way in alleviation of poverty among the poor and will pave the way for raising living standards of people.

The program has become a great success due to which poor widows now have been living a better life in rural areas, he said and added that as many as 200 cattle were distributed among female residents of Tehsil Goujar Khan and Kallar Syedan.

MPAs Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate, Raja ShaukatBhatti, Additional Sectary Live Stock Aashiq Hussain Dogar, EDO Agriculture Dr. Arshad Latif, Director Live Stock Ghulam Hussain Bhuttaand a lot of rural women attended the cremony.

Addressing on the occasion, MPA Raja Hanif Advocate said that Punjab Government headed by Chief Minister Shahbaz sharif believes in practical steps for social welfare and development with the sole aim to bring about revolutionary changes in the life of people. He said that the government was committed to providing all basic facilities to people living in rural areas at their door steps. The beneficiaries of the schemes could transmute this gifted animal into a productive resource with their hard work and care, he said. Speaking on the occasion, EDO Agriculture Dr. Arshad Latif said that the process of handing over cattle is purely at merit basis and it has been ensured that criteria are strictly fulfilled and only the deserving ones are getting it.
