Muzaffarabad: (Parliament Times) AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said peaceful and just solution of Kashmir is imperative for lasting peace and prosperity in South Asia. He was talking to members of delegation 35 under trainee foreign envoys    from Pakistan’s Foreign Service Academy.  The president said told the group of junior diplomats that there are three parties of Kashmir dispute, Pakistan, India and people of Kashmir. The bilateral talks between India and pakistan cannot resolve the Kashmir issue without honest arbitration of fourth party and fourth party can only be United Nations.

President Sardar Muhammad Masood urged the foreign diplomats to become voice of the oppressed and deprived people along with protecting the interests of your own countries during your diplomatic assignments. He added that world cannot be a place of live worthy without granting equal rights and equitable opportunities of development to human beings.

Giving details of genesis of Kashmir conflict, president said 13 thousand square kilometers area of Azad Kashmir with population of five million was liberated by its own people in 1947 because India wanted forcibly annex the region through a fake document. It was India that took the Kashmir issue at United Nations where the world body passed a number of resolution pledging that people of Jammu and Kashmir will be given right to decide their future.

India along with Pakistan also accepted the resolutions but later backtracked from its commitment made with the people of and international community and kept its illegal occupation of Kashmir without any legal or moral justification. About the administrative setup of Azad Kashmir, president said people of AJK have their own president, Prime Minister, legislature and Supreme and High court. The sitting government in the state sets its three priorities that are playing role settlement of Kashmir issue, providing good governance and development of the liberated state.
