Abbaspur: (Parliament Times) Khawaja Rafique Memorial Angels Modal College has organized a function to celebrate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) here on the other day. Chaired by Principal of the college, Riffat Sajid Khawaja, the students divided into four different groups enthusiastically participated in the speech contest and Naat competition.

Noman Hanif from Abu Bakar House and Abu Hurara from Usman House grabbed first positions in Naat recitation while in English Speech contest, Iqra Salim Tahir and Urdu speech contest Aiman Salim got first positions. Sidra Mehmood of Umar House secured first position in overall speech contest.

Others students who participated in different contests were: Salar Bin Sajid Khawaja, Ahmed Ali and Abdul Rehman. Speaking on the occasion Principal of the college, Riffat Sajid Khawaja stressed the need of following holy life and teachings of Prophet for the success in this world and hereafter.

She said Seerah of the prophet is beacon of light and Quran and Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH)  are perfect code of life for us. She said that the best way to celebrate Eid-e- Milad-un- Nabi is to follow the foot prints of the prophet (PBUH) in every sphere of life to get pleasure of Allah and his beloved messenger.

The principal distributed the prizes among the top position holders. The speech contest was judged by Prof. Zakia Anwar Sheikh while Naat contest was judged by Senior Journalist Raja Afzal Kiani Advocate and Sardar Zulfiqar. The members of the staff, Miss Samina and Miss Raheela also spoke on the occasion and highlighted different aspects of Prophet Muhammad’s holy life.
