Islamabad: AJK President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan has said entire parliament of Pakistan headed by its speaker is playing a dynamic role for highlighting Kashmir issue while government and people of Azad Kashmir are sparing no effort to serve the national cause.
He expressed these views during his meeting with Sardar Zulfiqar Roshan, a Washington based professional actively engaged in lobbying efforts on Kashmir. The President said development of Azad Kashmir is second most important priority of state government after Kashmir and we are trying our best to develop sense of ownership and responsibility among the people. He said that we believe corruption and poor quality of development cannot be checked effectively unless and until all stakeholders play the role of a watchdog and overseers in developmental matters.
The president told that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is visiting Azad Kashmir on Thursdayto announce mega development projects for the region, adding that major roads communication and hydro power generation projects will be launched in AJK within one year

time and people will witness transforming their lives for the better.
Saying that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is quite familiar with the problems and issues of all parts of Azad Kashmir, Sardar Masood said it is our good luck that a head government in Pakistan is keenly interested to develop AJK.
“We are confident that people of Azad Kashmir will see a tangible change in next couple of years”, President Masood said.
Meanwhile Chairman Pakistan Academy of Letters Prof. Dr. Muhammad Qasim Bughio called on President Sardar Muhammad Masood Khan at Kashmir House and discussed academic matters relating to literature and poetry.
