Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, the joint resistance leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik has strongly condemned the curbs imposed by the puppet authorities on the political activities of the pro-freedom leaders.The authorities disallowed the leaders to hold a meeting at Hyderpora in Srinagar, yesterday, to discuss the prevailing situation of the occupied territory.Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in their statements and interviews termed the action as frustration of the authorities. They said that occupied Kashmir had been turned into a complete police state where all rights of people were being suppressed through might. They maintained that disallowing pro-freedom leaders to attend religious gatherings, visit the families of martyrs and offer funeral prayers was naked fascism.Meanwhile, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference in a statement in Srinagar described as ridiculous the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s assertion to stop flow of water to Pakistan. It said that Indian rulers were escalating the war hysteria with each passing day and these insane threats and high-pitched roars could neither change the realities nor could scare anybody. The illegally detained APHC General Secretary, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in a statement in Srinagar said that the Kashmiris were resisting the Indian illegal occupation and their voice would not go unheard and New Delhi would bow before their demand for freedom very soon. He said that the Kashmiri people who had lost their eyesight due to the pellets fired by Indian forces would not be left at the mercy of circumstances and every possible effort would be made to take them out of the pathetic condition.The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader, Javed Ahmad Zargar, suffered a heart attack after he was severely harassed by Indian police during a raid on his residence at Chanapora in Srinagar, the other day. He is undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the police action. Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir in a statement in Srinagar denounced the shifting of its leaders and activists, Danish Malik, Farooq Ahmed Sheikh and Tahir Ahmed from Bandipora to Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu after booking them under draconian Public Safety Act.Complete shutdown was observed in Rawalpora area of Srinagar against the harassment of inhabitants by Indian police and troops during nocturnal raids.Indian troops have launched a massive siege and search operation in Bijbehara town of Islamabad district.
